Conference missed some key opportunities

This was my first time attending and while the networking was great and some of the speakers were good, the majority of the sessions did not provide new insights or information. There was not enough detail and a lack of focus on innovations and solving industry problems.

2017 was an improvement over

2017 was an improvement over 2016. Here is feedback: 1. Focused problem solving sessions with industry peers would be beneficial. Spending 3-4 hours during the week discussing challenges and opportunities would have been great. 2. Data analytic portion should have been at the beginning. The Students presentation was one of the best, if not the best session. 3. The is a "club" feel to the group. The secondary market is definitely an important one for environmental sustainability. The discussions were weighted to the secondary market. The chairman made comments on day 2 and 3, the comments went against the thing that companies should be focusing on, reducing returns.

Major missed opportunity

This was a missed opportunity, there were so many reverse logistics companies there but was hard to find all them to connect. Both manufactures and re-sellers would have loved an opportunity to connect with them however there was not a place. I would have liked to see set times to connect and make the time more valuable. At $1600 a ticket this was a waist of money and time, when it could have been the most valuable trip or our year.

vp - business development

Although I like Nashville, the hotel was really crowded. There were no spots to hold impromptu discussions....except around the hotel lobby......6 floors down + a flight of stairs. Stupid design of a hotel. Pls select another hotel in Nashville.

Not really applicable for my vertical

I work in a retail/wholesale space. Although there were elements of this conference that I could get some good ideas and nuggets from I feel like it was still pretty heavily geared towards electronics. The best part was meeting other people in similar industries and swapping ideas. Also, too many breaks for networking/visiting expo. I would rather keep listening to presentations and get ideas. The speaker from Abercrombie and QVC were great and very applicable to my industry. You had some great brands present at the conference that didn't speak. How is Amazon coping? WalMart? etc? I would have liked to hear more from these folks.
