At 30 years old, I'm pretty happy with my skin. I've outgrown the worst of acne and only have a few fine lines. As my skin has improved with age, I've transitioned to focus more on taking care of it for the long term rather than trying to treat acne with harsh actives. With that said, I still want to take the best steps to support collagen production and smooth fine lines. Initially, I sought out a tretinoin product. I tried for over a year to work my skin up to being able to tolerate tretinoin by using the lowest percentage I could get, stopping other actives, using it over moisturizer, and taking days off in between. I was perpetually flaky and sensitive with tretinoin and saw no visible smoothing of my fine lines. I finally decided that it wasn't right for me at this stage of life. I've experimented with other retinoids since then and had no irritation but also no visible results. Well, I've been using Double Play for 1. 5 months and am about to order my second tube! I'm seeing a subtle smoothing of the lines on my forehead and have experienced zero irritation. The packaging makes it easy to assess how much is left in the tube, and it also has a pump! And because it is more gentle than a prescription retinoid, I can use a reasonable amount (about 1. 5 pumps for my face and neck) and spread it. Trying to spread a pea-sized amount of tretinoin evenly was quite annoying. This is the perfect daily nighttime treatment for my skin at this stage of life.
