I placed the order for my advent calendar almost a month ago, and it still hasn’t arrived. I am excited to receive the product, and I’m grateful that they reached out (after several weeks of silence) to apologize and offer a $15 credit. Given this experience, I am not sure if I want to even use that credit.

Some candy was stuck to the packaging and hard to remove the inside contents.

I’d been ordering from Bokkusu the last couple of years including around the holidays without any issues and beautiful products until this past holiday season. Admittedly, I ordered later than usual during a busy season (12/8) but without any info on where it physically was in the process (I inquired with customer service), the delivery didn’t arrive for a month. When the delivery arrived, the box itself was damaged with holes on the sides. Unfortunately, the most fragile packages (Fuji san shaped boxes) were packed at the bottom so they were partly crushed. Also, almost all of the 20 edible gifts I ordered were past expiration (this is excluding the handful of discounted bags of candies which I assume were discounted because they were or were about to be expired when I received them. ) I’m pretty disappointed. Most of the issue is about delivery which Bokkusu cannot control especially during busy seasons. However, the business relies on international delivery so I do hope there may be ways to consider protective packaging and product description about expiration dates, etc. I’m realizing even if I ordered more in advance of when I’d gift, I’m afraid the product would still expire by the time I gift them so it’s no longer worth to gamble on ordering and praying they’ll arrive OK. The things that were not damaged and unexpired were loved!

It took way too long.

The recipient of my gift appreciates the snacks, but I was extremely disappointed that a gift O ordered in early December, to be delivered between Christmas and New Year’s did not arrive until mid January.
