I’m giving BlazePod 1 star, and it’s honestly disappointing because the actual product itself is great. The pods work well, the training system is fun, and it has a lot of potential for athletes and coaches.
What completely ruined the experience for me is the subscription model. After already paying a premium price for the hardware, you still have to pay a monthly subscription just to unlock more features that should already be included. Even worse, you have to pay extra just to add another user/player to the app.
For something designed around team training and multiple athletes, locking basic multi-user functionality behind another paywall feels excessive. I could understand optional advanced analytics being subscription-based, but charging for core functionality after buying expensive equipment leaves a bad taste.
Great product idea, but the constant upselling and locked features make it hard to recommend.
