This hammock is absolutely excellent. I have went on 2 extended trips ( 8 days each) with this hammock. It took a little bit of a learning curve to understand the setup and getting in and out of it. Once that was figured out it is so easy to use. On the first trip I had not purchased the trap that is meant to be used with the hammock. I chose to use a 10’ x 12’ trap that I already had. It took twice as long to setup and tear down and it made a lot of noise when the wind blew. When I got home from that trip I immediately order the tarp that goes with the hammock. What a difference it made. Fast setup and tear down. So easy to use. I recommend purchasing the hammock tarp , you will not be sorry you did. The whole package work well I and kind of weather conditions. It holds up well in strong winds( 30mph) and it repelled the rain perfectly. It rained for 12 hours straight and not a drop of water came into the hammock. In wind and rain conditions you have to concentrate the tarp down a little tighter. I have never had a more comfortable night sleep in all my camping year. I have been camping for 55 years, sleeping in tents, and I have never had this good of a sleep. There is no pressure from the ground on my shoulders. The sleeping pad that goes with the hammock is the best sleeping pad I have ever used. One night there was not any trees to hang the hammock and I set it up on the ground using poles to set the tarp and lift the bug net off my face. It was so comfortable. This hammock, tarp and sleeping pad can be hung in the trees or set up on the ground if there are no trees. It is an amazing piece of gear. If you are skeptical, don’t be, it is worth every penny and you will not be sorry you purchased it. An Outstanding Product all the way around. Way to go Amok!!!!
