These kits are really for kids only

The advertising made me think the kits would be good for adults too, but they are really only suitable for young children.

Fewer activities?

It is hard not to compare this year's boxes to previous years. This is our third year and it seems like this year there are fewer hands on activities in each box. The quality is still great but for the price I had hoped to see more than two projects in a box. At least that is what my expectation was based on previous years. My kids still love getting the boxes.

Fewer activities

The boxes this year have had fewer activities for the same price. I’m disappointed as it’s much less entertaining and experiential for my kids. There used to be 7-8 activities per box and now often times there are 4. Why is this, and will it change back?

Good.

We were wanting more Torah-based feasts. This is cultural. The interpretation of the ten commandments is deplorable. However this is a fun way to get an introduction to cultural activities.

I was going to give only two stars but

I have considered everything. I had a double yearly subscription for Jewish holidays. PROS: It covers all possible celebration dates It has several activities in a small box. Focuses on children ages 6-12 more or less Includes a booklet that explains the date and a fast reference on blessings. Contains links to extra content like video guides or other materials. CONS: Some of the activities are not well thought. The 2020 Hannukiah caused a major accident when the Acrylic melted under the steel bolt's heat and pushed down other candles. The activities include non-Jewish or misguided information. This doesn't help people who use the Days United boxes as starters or reconnect with our traditions to understand the reasons and context and then apply them to their particular background and observance. The materials were not usually the best for the activity (e.g., bad swatches for paper, pieces that cannot separate adequately or too feeble). Pricey if you want more than one box (they include discount cards in every other box, but only applies to new orders and not to yearly plans). Every booklet had issues with spelling in Hebrew, and English, missing translations, or missing blessings. The content producers try to embrace even the non-Jews, but that creates a lot of issues when discussing traditions and how holidays are generally observed. We wanted pleasant and well-thought experiences to expand our children's activities for the holidays. Due to the CONS list being more extensive than the PROS, we cancelled our subscription.
