Just buy the Seconds Hand Setting Assist Tool and don’t look back
This changed the process of installing the seconds hand from infuriating to only slightly annoying. I’ll take that upgrade any day! Underrated secondary function is the stem removal assist. I can’t imagine building another Seiko movement w/out this tool. Highly recommended.

My First DIY Watch kit
I bought the deluxe professional tool for it’s beauty and quality of their tools. Of course I included my first DIY kit. I haven’t started my first project, but when I do soon I’ll be trying other kits.

nice watch!
I was worried that I would have trouble with the hands (since that is the hardest part) but I was able to get them on in the first try! I did learn that my eyes aren't good enough to be a professional watch maker though. It was good to have a powerful magnifying head set on hand. The video instructions were very clear and helpful and the kit came with everything i needed. It was nice they included a extra set of hands just in case. Ended up with a watch I can be proud of. (and it keeps great time too!)

I accidentally destroyed my watch
I accidentally destroyed my watch while trying to remove the crown and stem. It was my birthday present from my family, so I’m pretty darn bummed out.
Totally my fault.

Exactly what I needed
Absolutely the tool that I needed. The primary purpose of the tool (second hand posting) was PERFECT. I will say that the “pin” placement to remove the crown stem did not work on my NH34 or my 4R36 movement builds. I am not discounting user error with this secondary use of the tool.
