Highs & Lows

To begin, my experience with Anthony was positive. He was very attentive and sent me pictures via email to help me make my decision. It was what happened after I made the purchase which has made this 5 star review drop to a 3. I was planning a Valentines Day proposal. This changed the second I opened my ring. I noticed two things. First, the rings prong settings were not symmetrical which I noticed first thing. Second, the stone; which was a VS2 in clarity, was very cloudy. I immediately called in to request a return. I spoke with several people and emailed in to get return instructions. After a week, I was given a return code. I was also told that two people had their eyes on my ring and both agreed it looked cloudy. A call to me, explaining the condition of the ring was not up to standard would have been more appropriate. Now, my proposal plans were ruined and I spent $37 sending a ring back for poor craftsmanship.

They are too small. I thought they would be bigger.

Not as fast as advertised

The ring is beautiful and staff was nice but they were in no hurry to accommodate timing. It took just shy of a month when it says 15 days. Once shipped it was quick but there was always something holding back the process. But that is online service I guess. It said on site you get a pair of earrings with the purchase and that was not the case. So basically what is advertised on the site is not really what you can expect.

Slow Service.

I ordered a wedding band for my elopement with my now husband. The website stated it was an in stock item and could be shipped next day. I paid for overnight shipping in order to get it in time for our wedding day (4 days from order date). It was shipped almost three weeks later, well after our wedding ceremony. Thankfully, I was able to purchase an alternate ring in his size at a local jewelry store. Once the ring was available (I’m assuming when it was back in stock?) it was still shipped overnight with a required signature option. I contacted FedEx to see if I had other options as I would not be home to sign, and could not re-route the package to my work address. The customer service agent stated the company (brilliance.com) made it so that I was unable to sign the door slip to request that FedEx leave the package inside our door. I was also unable to request that it be held at a FedEx location for pick up. Thankfully, the customer service agent was able to have the driver make a second delivery attempt that evening when I was home. If the driver wasn’t able to make a second attempt, I wouldn't have been able to sign for this over the next few days and it would have been shipped back to the company. The ring itself was shipped in a fabric jewelry bag, inside a UPS bubbled envelope, inside a UPS overnight box, inside a FedEx overnight box. I’m glad that my husband really likes this ring because if he hadn’t, it really wouldn’t have been worth all this hassle.
