After Founder & CEO Derrick Holmes appeared on Mr. Alvin Brooks's regular Wednesday night Zoom of Black men from around the country earlier this year, I bought a Banneker for myself. Loved it & loved the history. Let a proud dad brag a minute and drop some names:) I have two high-performing children: daughter Chayla (2022 Spelman College grad with high honors, Phi Beta Kappa, Delta Sigma Theta, now studying in China) and son Charles III (2022 Dillard High/Fort Lauderdale, FL grad with high honors, marching band president, National Honor Society, now a freshman at Morehouse College on a 4-year full ride academic scholarship.) We are also a total undergraduate legacy Morehouse & Spelman HBCU family, with me being a Morehouse grad & their mom Lisa a Spelman grad. I got the Camelot Gold matching my Omega Psi Phi purple & gold, the Supernova in DST red for Chayla, and the Baller in Dillard blue for Charles III. Waiting for the Camelot Silver to complete my personal set.The Cherrys can't stop, won't stop!
