GREAT Outdoor Dining Set, a few little quirks...
First of all, the set is wonderful. Color/weight/materials, all top notch. The all-aluminum construction and polywood looks to be very durable.
My only (minor) issues are as follows, and are related to the geometrics related to pushing the chairs into the table when not in use/storing:
1. the designer should have considered making the main table about 2" longer. The three chair configuration will just barely NOT fit pushed in under the table. I understand that the 'third persons' will complete with the table leg, but from a design standpoint, it would be very nice if the three chairs could be placed together and all of them slid mostly under the table for storage when not in use. The (3) chairs are just about 2" too wide for this to work. Close but not quite.
2. The table height/chair height is not quite matched. The table leg feet have to be extended for the chair arms to slide under the table. The issue is further complicated by the under-slung leaf holder (which is awesome from a design standpoint). The leaf holder also conflicts with the chair arms. If the chair arms were just 3/4" shorter, or the table 3/4" higher, this wouldn't be an issue.
3. While the leaf holder/fold out system is really cool, it would be nice to have an alternate option to utilize a typical center-mount umbrella/stand. The leaf storage configuration makes it impossible to use this type of umbrella for shade. You'll have to plan on a canopy or offset patio umbrella configuration with this unit.
All in all, we're very happy with the style, quality, and durability, especially given the price compared to other units. This is a great set with just a couple very minor issues.
