The crib mattress seems very comfortable, much more so than the old one we had. It's not a magic pill that solves sleep problems, but now I can at least rule out a poor mattress and chalk it up to toddlers being toddlers. When we got it my child just lay down on the mattress as soon as we opened it.

The natural wood foundation is clearly thought-out and refined, solidly designed and built to last; I expect it will last a lifetime. Placed on a simple iron frame, or directly on the floor, it will also be quiet. It's perfect for the new-school "mattress in a box" (Casper, Lull, Ghost, Avocado, etc.) as the slats are perfectly spaced for support and airflow, but will work w standard old-school mattress as well. Watch the assembly video for tips, and it's easy to put together correctly. Money well spent!
