Love our new king size mattress

My husband had back surgery in his 20's, so finding the right mattress for us has always been problematic. After researching, then trying many different options of firmness, price, manufacturer, materials, etc., we were at a loss to find a mattress that would give him the comfort he was looking for. He's a back sleeper, and what he realized would work best for him was a mattress that overall was slightly on the firm side, but would allow his hips and shoulders to sink slightly thereby offering more comfort on his mid-back. There were a few mattresses that were comfortable at the outset, but not able to sustain it; spring type mattresses didn't work at all, and memory foam was was unable to supply the required balance (and it was too hot!). Then we stayed at the Hilton Garden Inn in Calgary. I only stayed one night as I was travelling, but my husband was attending a course there for the weekend. We had a terrible sleep, as the mattress felt like a slab of concrete! It was also an odd design, being so light for a king size, but it didn't feel like a regular air mattress. At breakfast, I told my husband to change rooms for a better bed. When I spoke to him the next day, he told me that when he went to the front desk to change rooms, the clerk showed him the guest 'instructions' for the Natural Form bed, and explained how it worked. So he gave it one more try. Once he adjusted the setting, he said it was the best, most comfortable sleep he had in years! After the second night, he said he wished he could have brought the mattress home with him. So I did some Googling, and found that this mattress was available to the public though the manufacturer in the States. I emailed for pricing, and to see if there were any specials currently (the Loonie was taking a real hit this spring), and the staff were pleasant, knowledgeable, and helpful. The pricing for the king size Garden Sleep model - after exchange, shipping, and GST - was still less than other 'advanced' sleep systems like Tempur-pedic. Once ordered, the shipment took less than 10 days, arrived in good shape via truck, and we were kept informed via phone regarding delivery arrangements. Through the whole process, all staff and contractors involved provided exemplary service. There were also no problems shipping to Canada. Once set up, it took us a day or two to find the right setting for us - the dual settings are very helpful here because my needs are different than my husband's - but after that, blissful sleep. The setup instructions were clear and easy to follow, and the warranty/guarantee is in plain language. We were interested to learn that if ever needed, some repairs can be made by us, with parts supplied by Natural Form. There's very little foam to compress or break down over time like other mattresses we've had in the past, so we hope there will be no problems there. There are only a couple of improvements I could suggest, and that is 1) find an alternative to the wool mattress cover supplied with the unit. We gave it an initial wash as instructed and it smelled just like a wet sheep (and I know what I'm talking about here) especially since we removed it from the dryer slightly damp, also as instructed. The smell didn't go away fully even after it dried. And 2) the wool cover is hot. Too hot. If there's something that can give the same level of comfort and mattress protection while removing the smell and being far cooler, please implement it. Overall, we are very happy with our purchase thus far. It's only been a few months, but we're not waking up with sore joints, or aching, or with circulation cut off to a limb anymore. We definitely recommend this product!

Easily adjustable mattress with dual controls allows setting of full firmness for support during awake activities, and a cushy range of support while sleeping. Better quality sleep with fewer changes of position. Excellent for back, side or even stomach sleepers! Wonderful investment, wake up rested without aching or stiffness.
