I am a seasoned, quality
I am a seasoned, quality driven handy man and this one has taken many twists in turns, not because of ease of installation, or quality of productm but the fact that our mirror has a J-channel on bottom. Per the measurement instructions I added that fact to my order. When receiving there was no channel, dado, etc to account for the J-channel. I proceeded with the belief that it had been accounted for with tape height of design of trim piece. When done, on each lower corner the frame was sticking out about 3/16" further that rest of mirror. At first I accept that, but it worked on me, as it wasnt correct. I contacted FramMyMirror and they handled my issue politiely, and sent me another frame with a much thicker tape, which may/should work to correct the problem. A few days ago I proceeded to do the work. I carefully was removing the old trim pieces and got about halfway when disaster struck. . . . . . . . the mirror cracked, badly. This is a huge mirror and now I am into buying and installing a new mirror for $1250. I do not in any way blame FMM for this problem, but the processing the order and the fact we have a J-channel should have been taken into account and provided the thicker tape or a dado on the intial order. I am now into approximately $1500 for this project I thought would be $300. Make sure if you have the J-channel on bottom of mirror you somehow highlight this on the order!!!!!
