Absolutely delighted with my Expressgrass experience. Everything was delivered by a lovely driver within 48 hours, which was great as I was keen to get started! I appreciated being able to buy everything I needed from one supplier, too. The shockpad underlay is nice and thick -- you'd never know there were patio stones under my grass. I used a large screwdriver to poke holes through the underlay while it was still rolled up, which was simple enough. I then cut it with the Stanley knife and taped the seams with gaffer tape. The grass itself is lovely. Nice and soft (especially with the underlay). Very easy to trim to size with a sharp knife and it looks great once it's been brushed. I used the AquaBond adhesive all around the edges and also used it to adhere the aluminium trim onto concrete. The aluminium trim was easily cut to size with a small hacksaw. I trimmed the underlay back about an inch so there's only grass under the edge trim. My grass measures 4 x 8 meters and I found this a manageable job to do myself (and I'm a middle-aged out-of-shape woman). It took me about 5 hours from start to finish and I genuinely enjoyed every minute. It's absolutely pouring today and everything seems to be draining nicely, so don't worry about putting the grass and underlay over a patio or decking. Just make sure you poke those drainage holes in the underlay. Overall, absolutely delighted. I've been neglecting my back garden since I bought my flat earlier this year because I just wasn't sure where to start. Now my only regret is that I didn't order from Expressgrass sooner.
