Greatest invention since....

When I heard of the Coravin technology I was so excited and impressed...is this the end of tipping-out half finished bottles of good red wine the next day ? Often I drink old wine, wine that oxidises overnight if left in the bottle, wine that is not a touch of it's complex characteristics he next day no matter what I do. Coravin will change all that. The technology is superb...but whoever uses it, please leave the cap protecting the cork on the bottle. I did not understand the importance of this with an old wine and the very first time that I used the Coravin, the injection of gas into the bottle pushed the cork up half-out of the bottle and the needle through the cork was badly bent. Fortunately Coravin have agreed to replace the needle. I also feel the instructions should carefully address this point. Coravin has advised that the needle easily travels through the wine cap and that was the point I did not appreciate. Stuart

Coravin does a super job enabling one to access an older bottle with zero worry about how many days you continue to enjoy...rather than feeling rushed. You are in control of rate of pour by simply calling upon the 'gas' more frequently...a few seconds is meaningless.

It change my way of drinking wine, I don't care about not finish the bottle and I can discover any of my bottle in my cellar, works perfectly.
