Greetings! I recently installed the Doulton ceramic filters that also reduces heavy metals. It is my first switch from the original Big Berkey system. I did not see mentioned how slow the initial phase of filtering and flushing any residue from the manufacturing process was going to be. But once that was accomplished, the flow rate was just fine. I'd used the Big Berkey system for over 15 years and was very happy with it. The new filters are a breeze to install. I find the water tastes not only pure, which I was used to, but there is a softness and a kind of lightness that is delightful.
