I recently purchased the 8k A/C unit, and I am extremely satisfied with it. The setup was straightforward and hassle-free. The unit performs excellently, delivering great results. I particularly love the app, which allows me to control the A/C from my phone and computer no matter where I am. Additionally, when I had a question, I received an instant response via email with the correct information. Highly recommend!

I chose the Windmill 12k

I chose the Windmill 12k BTU over a cheaper, different brand 12k because of the direction of the airflow, and it's awesome and so worth it. It cools the room effectively without it being a jetstream of cold air in one direction (my window is nearly behind my couch, so past ACs have directed the blast at the back of my head). The first unit arrived and had a strange rattle in it, but we installed it anyway. Within a day it froze over with an inch of ice all over the insides. Contacted customer service and they responded super fast-- walked us through a few questions and quickly determined it was likely a damaged unit. Warrantee claim initiated, and a new unit arrived within a week. Honestly I couldn't believe how excellent the customer service was. If I need another unit for another room in my house, I'm going with Windmill because I know if any issues arise they will be taken care of promptly and efficiently. My only gripe is I wish there was a little more control within the app-- if set to "cool" the unit seems to keep cooling even as the room temp drops below the set value. It would be nice if it powered off and back on later, but maybe it switches to fan only and that's enough? It could be nice to link it with a different thermostat reading too, as it's interpretation of what temp the room is at seems a bit off when on eco or sitting idle. I imagine these things might get dialed in with some software updates. I'm also a big fan of actual buttons on the unit. If I can't find my phone I can still turn it on and choose settings and temps without any difficulty. All in all, love you guys. Great product, great company. Keep it up!
