I was a bit worried because one of the other reviews said it didn’t pick up leaves and we had plenty of them, but our leaves are smaller and go through the vacuum quite well. Our pond is about 15 years old and we have pumped out most of the water in the past but we didn’t realize how much silt was at the bottom. Well over 2 feet. The vacuum worked great to pull out the muck and leaves and now I’ve added some aquatic plants and we are going to get fish again. The vacuum is easy to use and the extensions make it easy to reach the bottom of the pond. We plan to use it regularly so we don’t end up with so much crud at the bottom again.
