Very impressed...self installation
I took my time researching a new Hot Tap for my apartment this time around. I have had one before which is very similar to the Intu Evolution in have recently purchased but it wasn't without its problems. Ranging from a need to replace the tap cartridge due to leaking and having to wait weeks for a replacement filter to arrive.
These were two things i was very mindful of when choosing my new tap. Firstly I was impressed by the online resources (YouTube videos)and in part the focus on customer service and the visibility of the owner in one of the videos. Also, using a real life kitchen sink was helpful.
I did look for a plumber to install it but the price quoted for a couple of hours work was excessive so I decided to install it myself. I am a confident and competent DIYer and found the whole process very straight forward. I did have to cut a couple of copper pipes and fit new fittings, but this was straightforward. My only comment would be that at first I though the flex hoses supplied would be much longer that needed, however they were definitely long enough but the length almost certainly dictated the position of the tank and the filter. Fortunately I did take this into account when planning the positions of the tank and filter so it wasn't an issue. I also purchased a spare filter so I didn't haver the same issue as with my previous unit. However, I doubt it would be an issue with INTU anyway
