I ordered a replacement filter that was delivered a couple of days later. Exactly as INTU said it would. In short - INTU did exactly what they said they would.

Our plumber said it was the easiest hot tap he’d ever fitted. Works great and no waiting for water to boil.

We went for this tap rather than one of the many others available in large part because it had clear UK based after sales support. Also the detailed specifications were available on the website to allow me to make an informed decision about how it was likely to perform before purchase. Again, a lot of other suppliers don't give these details. The tap arrived on the promised day, was well packaged which inspired confidence in the quality of the product. A quick check confirmed that it is 'CE' marked (yes, I know I am an anorak for checking these things, but I do!). The CE mark will be replaced in due course with a UKCA requirement, but for now we're in a change over period, so CE is fine. Fitting the tap was very straightforward. I'm used to fitting things into kitchens, so probably had an advantage, but it should be within the ability of competent DIY fitting, providing that you already have an electrical socket and the required water isolation fittings available. A big credit for the instructions being clear and in English, not the roughly translated Chinese that so many other suppliers seem to think is good enough. Once fitted the tap works well. It takes a couple of goes to master which way to move the handle for which hot / cold / boiling water, but it soon becomes second nature, and the safety button prevents you dispensing boiling water accidentally. We did have one issue - not a fault with the tap - which is that because our house hot water pressure is very low, the house supplied hot water ran very slowly from our new tap. This is only likely to be an issue if you still have a gravity fed hot water supply (i.e. from an airing cupboard tank); if you have a newer combi boiler your hot water will be at near mains pressure and you should be fine. As a result of this hiccup I can confirm that if you do need to telephone customer support then they are very helpful, and you do NOT end up in an anonymous call centre with someone reading off a computer screen. These guys are very helpful and know their product, with is a refreshing change from many suppliers. In the end I was able to boost my hot water pressure a little, and the tap now works absolutely fine. We're very happy with our tap, having had it for a few days it is working well, and the quality inspires confidence that it will continue to do so for many years.
