We love working with SolidSurface. They have everything you need to make absolutely beautiful countertops. This is the second home my husband and I have remodeled and we loved our LG hi max countertops so much in our first home that we are going to make them again in our new home. It was not as difficult as you might think to make them yourself. If you can use a skill saw and a router you can do it. Solid surface is very strong material and it is so much more durable than butcher block. It looks so sleek and contemporary. This time we bought 4 full sheets to do the kitchen and bathrooms. The delivery was also excellent. The sheets were packaged in a wooden crate and arrived in perfect condition.

Used the SolidSurface counter top refinishing kit in wet mode on a heavily used Corian top. The results are the top is indistinguishable from new. Covered surrounding area with drop cover plastic and used a spray bottle for water for each grit level and wiped clean between each grit level. Then used the polishing pads dry. The entire process was easy and fast with my random orbital sander. And using the grits wet means no dust. When all done picked up the drop cover plastic and that took care of the cleanup.

I am using it on the kitchen island. I haven't fabricated the sides yet but I'm confident I will be successful with the new jigsaw I've just purchased. I saved about $525 buy doing it myself.
