Other mattress pads we have had did not breath, which caused us to sleep hot. This mattress pad has greatly reduced that as described. You can buy a cooling type mattress but if you don't have the correct mattress protector, like this one, it cancels out what the mattress is supposed to do.

Bought 3 sheet sets, 2 cooling pillows two zippered pillow cases. . Highly recommend
