Because of my history with neck, shoulder and back pain for the past 40 years, and having spent hundreds of £ on various pillows and mattresses, at 67 years of age I was very sceptical that a mattress could change my life. I was so wrong. Having read reviews and researched several mattresses, I finally narrowed it down to three brands. The Simba mattress was featured on the website of a very well known high street store with the option of actually trying it out before buying. I did not take up this offer because I have bought from this store before and had every confidence that the Simba Mattress was the one for me. The price was more than I had paid before for a mattress but the 100 nights trial tempted me. I decided to buy direct from Simba as they offered the free service of taking away my old mattress. The mattress was delivered five days after ordering, and although they offered a next day delivery, I knew that the five days was probably because of the two man delivery required to remove my old mattress - which wasn't a problem for me. The delivery men weren't allowed to open the mattress, which I understood, but they were kind enough to take it upstairs for me and placed it on the bed exactly as it should be placed and gave me a tool, which came with the mattress, and showed me how to use it to "unfold" the mattress. The unfolding was very easy. There was also a chemical smell, I opened the window for about 6 hours on the day of delivery and left it to air. By the following day the smell had gone completely. Now the good part - and I still can't believe it - I slept right through the night without waking up (I used to wake once or twice because there was a lot of roll with my partner being heavier than me. I also used to wake up with neck, back and shoulder pain which has gone on for many years. Having slept on the mattress now for several nights, I noticed that, although the pain has not disappeared completely, I feel really relaxed on waking. I'm also not disturbed when me partner wakes during the night - he also noticed how comfortable and supportive the mattress is, although he does not suffer with pains as I DID! I have never slept on a more comfortable mattress and I love it. I can now go to bed earlier than before knowing that I will be comfortable. I can also 'have a lie in' - something I could never do before. The Simba has literally changed my life I only wish I had discovered it sooner, but as the saying goes, 'its never too late'.

We bought the mattress when there was the offer on that included the pillows, duvet and mattress. The mattress and pillows came the next day but we had to wait about 4 or 5 weeks for the duvet as it was out of stock. It was worth the wait. The duvet seems quite thin compared to traditional duvets, but being a very warm person i prefer this anyway. The pillows feel nice but i am still loyal to my tempur mattress pillow as i have neck problems and feel that it supports it better than the simba ones. The mattress is super comfy, the only issuei have with it is that the bed sheets seem to make a dimple after being slept on, but its minor for the quality of sleep it gives me.
