It is hard to live up IRL to the marketing induced expectations. I think Sense is doing a great job for me, but not every setup/use case/expectations are comparable. I present it to my customers as a (solar) production & usage meter system with bonus if you are lucky. Sometimes sense detects open/closing of a garage door and they are surprised, but a 500 watt blower motor from the central heating/cooling system never gets detected. Hard to explain to a customer (imo)

I was surprised by some devices sense identified such as my fridge's water dispenser but also disappointed that it hasn't found my washing machine or dishwasher.

We are using Sense since a number of months now, detecting the electrical usage signature of the various users in the house has been limited. A number of large/frequent users like furnace and humidifier as of today have not been identified, we have quite a number of users identified (e.g. three microwaves) that we have no clue yet what they are and the identification seems to be not completely correct, e.g. the clothes dryer when in use is identified sometimes, but not always.

Needs to be able chang the applince name when they are wrong!!
