Good monitoring, device detection could be better

I do enjoy the app however there are too many item listed as other. Approx 40 % of my bill is other.

Sense is a leader for showing real-time and historical use & solar on an informative interface. Annual, monthly, daily use kWh and cost summaries are also wonderful. The smart detection of devices works well for a small number of appliances, many of which are very low power users. The detection works OK for a wider range of appliances, but periodically misses when they’re on or otherwise is inaccurate. Sense’s device feature simply does not work for heat pumps, which is problematic as they can represent +80% of a homes annual load. The Time of Use feature is really helpful. Additional reporting (assuming the device detection was accurate) on which devices consumed on and off peak would be helpful to improve behavior. Similar reporting for what devices consume solar or grid power would also be helpful.

Sense needs the ability for the user to teach it things it can't learn, like EV car charging. It also has "phantom" items that show up on my list and are labeled as the wrong things, for example "washer" but I'm not running the washer, and it is bouncing around between 164w and 1w. Not sure what that is. It is overall a good product but does need some bug fixing.
