I bought a new house and in order to use the app, I needed the WiFi module. It works as expected and would recommend to others.

Just upgraded to the new version of the Wi-Fi module. System works quite well. Schedules were easily and automatically transferred once the new controller was added - and yes - you do have to delete the old and add the new controller. I have to highly compliment the Rainbird rep that walked me thru the process to a very successful conclusion. I was even able to do this all on my own later when I setup my wife's phone so she could manage the watering cycles. Great product and very good company to work with. Highly recommend.
