1/2 of the solar lights do not work after installing correctly

I received the solar lights in a box that looked like it had been delivered by Ace Ventura Pet Detective but when I opened the box the light boxes were intact. I installed the lights the same night and only 1/2 of the lights work.

Disappointed in the little things that cause big problems

The idea for the system is good but there are definite flaws and I don't like it as much as I thought. I had to go to Lowe's twice: once to buy a 5/8" bit that would actually cut through the concrete and that was the correct diameter and once to buy a new hammer drill because the one I bought from poolfenceDIY broke. The 5/8" bit that I ordered through poolfenceDIY was not quite wide enough to smoothly fit the plastic mounting pieces for the posts. Once I figured out the problem, I had to re-drill the holes using the drill bit I bought from Lowe's because its diameter was a much better fit than the one I got from poolfenceDIY. The poolfenceDIY hammer drill handle broke completely the first and only day I used it. I again had to go to Lowe's to purchase a new hammer drill, one of better quality. Because the poolfenceDIY drill bit was slightly too small of a diameter, I had to use a hammer and a block of wood to get my posts to fit into the concrete; it was no where near as easy as it looks on their videos. This also caused nearly all the post caps to split so now water will get into my posts. Additionally, the guide holes in the drill guide are too wide which causes the drill bit to not be as straight or angled as it should be. I like the idea of poolfenceDIY but the little things--bit diameter is too small, plastic pieces that fit into the drilled hole, having to hammer in the posts, holes to large on the drill guide, and a broken hammer drill--make it so I cannot recommend this product.

Fence Review

My review isn’t too good. 1) The gate poles call for a light lean inward towards each other, which makes the gate and opposing poles lean and gate not close properly. Yes, I read the directions several times and followed them accordingly. I have since straightened the gate poles somewhat, to make the gate close on its’ own. 2) When having a short section, which means cutting the fence, it calls for using the end piece to slip over the end of fence and be stapled. Once again, I read the instructions several times because it seemed rather cheesy to me. 3) After completing the fence, my instincts were correct. The end piece, in which many staples were used, came apart the first time my 2 year old grandson pushed on it. SO MUCH FOR PEACE OF MIND AND SECURITY!! In all, I gave it 2 stars because of pricing. That should have been my first clue.

Call for purchases, do not use website ordering

When ordering, you MUST to call in and ask what you need to order. Using the website's online custom ordering portal (not talking to a human) is likely to cause the headache it caused me because you don't know what you need and you expect the program to order you the correct parts. The program did not. It did not give me enough poles, it did not give me enough dirt sleeves, it did not give me enough extension cloth covers to close off the mesh. There is no way the uninitiated will know what parts they need. That is an unreasonable assumption. There is no video explanation of installing on dirt that requires concrete footings (and if there is, it is too hard to find). There is no explanation in video or options to buy masonry anchors if you are only building a partial fence to meet up with your stucco house or concrete walls. You truly and honestly cannot finish the build without the masonry anchors, so how is that not an option to buy when they have an online program walking you through a "partial fence" build? I had to learn all of this after a $1000 purchase, waiting for the delivery, then opening all of the packages (making returns nearly impossible). So now I have not even attempted install for weeks because I am still awaiting parts. That will be very frustrating for you if you don't know what you are doing (which is a large percentage of consumers who this website is marketed for). When I called in on a weekend asking what I did wrong, they did give a free shipping code, but honestly, there should have been more when I set aside an entire day to build and it was lost, and I feel bamboozled into spending another $100 on top. When you don't know the full price of the project before you start spending money and have to buy piecemeal, it really ruins the experience. It would have been totally different if someone said, "I see how this could affect your day, we could help you with a return or ship you the parts you need at a discount/free (because the return would cost them more money than just sending the missing parts). And here is some advice on how to get the parts you truly need, but we don't sell." Also, one of the pre-built poles is missing a screw - so the quality of the materials has not impressed me yet.
