Tough to install but still worth it

This is tough because I would give different aspects of the experience different ratings. Customer service and website: would give a 5/5. Since there is not a local installer we had to do the DIY. We were nervous since we had to drill into concrete and we were nervous about what to order. We got in touch with Chris, a customer service rep, and he was fantastic. He walked me through website, gave me great advice, and answered additional questions on weekends. Great guy Installation - I would give a 1. It is advertised as easy to put up and easy to take down. My husband and father in law (who are extremely handy men… my husband actually owns a construction business) had a very tough time putting it together. The directions did not match, some Items broke and there was no direction for uneven concrete. Due to this both gates do not automatically self close (a very important feature) We have to manually close the gate behind us. Additionally we cannot easily take down the fence as advertised. It is really stuck in the ground and would take a lot of maneuvering to take down. The easy takedown was a big selling point for us because our pool is positioned in a very strange place and it is not easy to clean with fence up. Don’t get me wrong this was an essential purchase (we have 1.5 year old and dog) I have so much peace of mind when we are in the backyard now. However, I do think certain descriptions did not match with what we experienced.

Faulty Drill Bit Caused a Huge Headache

I was sent a faulty drill bit in the drill/bit combo package that took way too long to drill the holes in the concrete. Also due to the extra muscle and time it took to drill the holes with the faulty bit, it drifted as I was drilling one of the holes for the gate. It’s about 1/2” off the spot it’s supposed to be, which makes the gate unable to self close. I will have to bore out the sleeve, refill with concrete, and redrill it in the proper place. The holes initially were too small for the sleeves and poles, but I was able to bore the hole out with the faulty. However I ended up breaking a bunch of sleeves and 2 poles in the process of discovering this issue. When calling customer service after I was about 1/4 through my install they apologized for explained the issue and told me they were over-nighting 2 poles and a drill bit, but I have not received them as of 4 days later If I did it again, I would avoid buying the drill/bit kit, buy own drill bit, and rent a rotary drill from my local hardware store. This could have been a relatively easy process, but was a headache due to my issues.
