After reading the site, it sounded as though the barrels were freshly dumped. What I received was completely dry, shrunk and required 2 days to re-swell and had 2 major cracks nearly entirely through 2 staves. However, the cost is a bit lower than a new barrel and I guess these issues aren't much of a concern for someone simply sitting it on their porch.

I was so very excited about getting our barrel table I have been seeing them at the Amish furniture store for a few years but never could afford them. When I came across this sight I was so anxious the price was great and they were local (somewhat) small business. However ....The table top was tacky when touched like it was not dry and when running your hand across it there are so many bumps and not smooth. It is beautiful till you get up close and see the flaws. Mike was great to work with and delivered the table and all in all you get what you pay for...the Amish table is $1600 vs the price I paid. All in all it is a nice piece just needed some more tlc on the table top. I still love it !!!

Product is good but not what i ordered and by filling out the special instructions or note when ordering, does help. Barrel Nazi. You get what they send you. No special requests even though they ask you...no way near light in color as requested per ordering pages. The barrels are good but not what i ordered as i needed lighter barrels.

The 5 gallon barrel I ordered was supposed to be a formerly used whiskey barrel. I'm not sure exactly when it was supposed to have had whiskey in it since their is absolutely no detectable scent. Also, I know the barrel is unfinished but it honestly looks likes it was sitting outside in someone's yard for a long time.
