Amazing Upgrade to the Bathroom
The Omigo replaced a bare-bones seat attachment, from a different company, purchased during the great TP shortage. This upgrade is luxurious. I researched different brands and decided it needed upgrading, and it was the “upfront, here’s the information” Tom and Thomas commercials over Thanksgiving that made the decision for me to buy Omigo. I read about the GFCI requirement, but I failed to read about the optional inline filter. Since, the house has a water softener and whole house water filters, I have not gotten the optional filter. The install was easy, though I did wait to turn the water on until my plumber checked my connections to make sure there were no leaks.
Some reviewers have said when the lid is closed, the seat is not easy to sit on. I am a 70-ish, female, 180 pounds, and I find the closed lid easy to sit on and do not slide forward. Other reviewers say the dryer should be stronger. I may agree with this a little bit, but you are certainly drier than when you get out of a shower - anyway that is why the soft, little bamboo towels are so nice to have.
The features I like the most are the self-cleaning stainless steel nozzles, two of them, the silver-ion sterilization, and endless supply of warm water - no waiting for the water to get warm. Plus, it is extremely easy to clean - unplug and slide the seat off to do a deeper clean.
The heated seat, warm air dryer, and night light are welcome additions.
The Omigo and soft, bamboo towels completely eliminated the need for TP. No more TP paper dust or crumbs along the bathroom baseboard. The experience is life changing and my sensitive skin is grateful.
