Even though I'm petite, I went with the firm version of the Muse bed. I've been used to sleeping on very firm beds my whole life so the firm Muse bed suit my needs well. Because I sleep hot the initial coolness of the bed feels good. It doesn't stay cool all the way but its good enough for me.

Coming from a beauty rest this mattress is def better. We got medium and it's still soft enough for my hips to sink into the bed a little and have me feeling a sense of 'fit'. The cooling is also amazing. overall would recommend

Then I found Muse via a Google search, having never heard of them before, and happily discovered that they offer a quiz to help you find out what type of firmness you need based on your most used sleeping position. They do the same thing with their pillows that they give you for free with a mattress purchase. The "weird smell" you hear about with these mail order mattresses was gone the same day I unpacked it, and for the price, I get a great night's sleep. The top part of the mattress is foam and does not trap heat. The whole mattress is about 6 to 8 inches thick (have not measured for exact size). Overall, I'm very happy with my purchase.

I got the firm Muse mattress and it fullfill all the qualities I want in a mattress. It supports me in every sleeping position with great motion isolation along with a cool touch surface.

I did research on foam mattresses for 3 weeks and chose Muse for firmness. It was exactly what I'd hoped for..very firm and I wake up feeling great. Wish I'd bought it a lot sooner.
