why would a company not allow you to try their product before returning. Horrible company. horrible product

I purchased the protector in order to make sure my mattress would stay under warranty. However, it is the worst protector that I’ve ever used. It feels like plastic and doesn’t breathe. I ordered two but i think it has made sleeping unbearable. Would not recommend.
