I recently had to replace a ten year old Looft that had literally lite thousands of fires. That old friend hung on a hook under my cooking shed just steps from the Gulf of Mexico and the corresponding salt air. It died from no fault of its own, but rather from my not paying close enough attention and touching the tip to the charcoal. Don’t do that! I immediately replaced it on the Looft website for basically the same price I paid ten years ago. I also have a battery operated one I use for boondocking which I charge with solar, they’re more expensive, but worth it. Odorless, quick and easy to start any fire. If you cook outdoors do yourself a favor and buy one.
