Picked this up to do faster "tune-ups" to my knives without havnig to go through the full whet-stone process all the time and I am completely satisfied. The Horl is DEAD simple to use, very quick and gives impressive results considering the lack of skill involved in the process. You won't get a razor sharp edge with the basic kit alone, so consider getting the "whetstones" add-on.
