I’m a housewife and installed a water softener in Las thank 45 mins! I needed a solution to EXTREMELY hard water, always above 425 and sometimes above 500. I called a plumber who quoted me at $6000 for a softener and an iron unit. The next day I found the website for Discount Water Softeners. I ordered my unit and it arrived 4 days later. After I watched the videos and unpacked everything I started the install. I had to buy 2 small parts from Lowe’s but this was easy enough. After I got home I turned the water off and cut out the old “ends.” I primed and glued the new “ends” on and connected the shutoff. Checked for leaks, all good. It took me about 10 mins to load the main unit with the “powder” and install the basket and head. Then I just rocked it back into place pushed and locked it in. The brine bucket and cleaner took maybe 15 mins to put together and plug in to the main head. Lastly, the drain tube, maybe 3 mins. When I plugged the unit ac in, I realized that all the info I filled in on line was already programmed in! The next morning my water was PERFECT! No more red in the toilets and dried out hair and best of all… I saved $4000! Thank you so much for making this easy enough for me to do it alone!

The filters arrived undamaged in about a week.
