Interactions with Discount Water Softener have been positive. My only concern is that even though they say the water softener I purchased has a warranty covering 5 years or 10 years, depending on the part, a notice came with the water softener that, if taken literally, makes the warranty virtually useless. In fact, it even says that if your water softener doesn't even work, that's not covered under warranty. Apparently, whoever wrote it hasn't heard of the Implied Warrantee of Merchantability. That said, that doesn't mean that Discount Water Softener's won't honor the warrantee they mention in videos but I haven't had to test that.
