Create-A-Bed

When the pandemic hit, I had this small hobby building Murphy beds. It was a hobby! Then the pandemic hit March of 2020. Since then a lot of people have requested me to build them custom beds. In the last two years I have built 25 units, and each and every one of them now have the Adjustable hardware kits, both on my vertical and horizontal units. This kit operates fantastically, and it is a very dependable kit. The front desk and technical support staff is the best I have encountered with various companies I deal with. I will continue to use Create-a-bed kits exclusively.

I was able to create a wonderful Murphy Bed. The kit and directions were good. The components seem a bit pricy at first but you get everything you need to make a working drop down bed. It was worth it to have all of the proper hardware. I only purchased 4 sheets of maple veneer plywood, screws, and stain/polyurethane. I had some leftover molding from our home trim that I used to accent the edges. One change I made was to place a shelf almost the width of the bed near the foot to supplement the legs. I have received numerous compliments regarding the finihsed product.

My husband and I didn't have any trouble following the directions to build our murphy bed, plus it works great! :)

This is my second time buying and building a Create-A-Bed Murphy bed, but the first time ordering direct through Create-A-Bed. I previously bought and assembled a CAB queen bed set through Rockler in about 2014 which is still going strong 8 years later. The experience was just as good this time, however, CAB staff went above and beyond to send me a PDF of the plans in advance after purchase so I could go ahead and get started cutting and prepping all of the wood so that I'd be totally ready for assembly when the hardware kit arrived. This saved me a week or so of waiting for delivery, and when the hardware kit arrived, I wrapped up assembly in an afternoon. Their kits are easy to use and the directions are always clear and easy to follow. These kits are a lifesaver in our small city house, giving us a ton of flexibility with using limited space in the best way possible.
