Very easy to use and turned out great!
I used CCS forms, additive, ad sealer.
I've helped pour concrete countertops before, the traditional way. CCS forms made it SO much easier! Could pour right in place. Also, the additive with a bag of Sandcrete poured much easier than traditional concrete. We were done in a couple hours.
Tips that I learned:
Trowel well. Be sure you know how to do this and if you can, get someone who has experience to help you.
Put more sealer than you think you need (we used the penetrating kind). Then, lightly sand the final coat, dust well, and do one more coat.
CCS products made the experience much easier and it was actually fun. By the end of the day, you have an amazing countertop.
One other thing I did, it was impossible to get sink clamps in so I used copper plumbing straps and attached them to the sides of the cabinet. This was so much nicer than clamps anyway (which are hard to get to later if you need to replace the sink).
I had to call CCS a couple times for advice and/or confirmation about what to use or how much to use. They were always available and the person who answered the phone was able to answer all my questions. From technical questions to basic product questions.
Thank you CCS for helping me create a beautiful kitchen that I'll enjoy for years. The whole family is excited to cook in such a nice space.
