I purchased the aftermarket lamp from USWF to replace the manufacturer lamp in my Viqua VH200 UV system. The USWF lamp and sleeve kit cost less than half the Viqua lamp and sleeve. I purchased the sleeve to have as a spare in the event I break the original while replacing the lamp. The USWF lamp is slightly shorter than the Viqua lamp by approximately 3/8 inch. Quality of the USWF lamp appears to be good and I see no difference between the two other than the length. The USWF lamp came supplied with 2 O-rings which should always be replaced when replacing the lamp. The USFW O-rings are slightly larger than the Viqua O-rings however there were no issues with reassembly of the VH200 end caps. The VH200 powered on with no issues and I can see the UV light being emitted through the opaque PEX supply line just like the original lamp. The system has been operational with USWF lamp for several weeks and appears to be functioning as designed. Regarding Discount Filter the USWF lamp and sleeve kit was listed as back ordered but I placed my order anyway. I received notification within a few days that my order was fulfilled, and the kit arrived at my house a week later. Not sure what the back-order status was all about, it didn’t stop me from getting what I needed. Overall, I’m happy with the experience and certainly happy to have paid significantly less for the lamp. Time will tell if it lasts the year it’s supposed too.
