Sustainable, Reasonable, Comfortable
After having a very comfortable box spring/traditional mattress for years and a very uncomfortable memory foam mattress, I did research and found the Awara hybrid mattress. I like the fact that it did not need a box spring but was still a bit bouncy and, more importantly to me, it was made of natural latex and other sustainable materials! The mattress was delivered in a relatively small box which was convenient for me since I was about to move. I just kept it in the box until I got to my new abode. Upon opening the box, it took only a few hours for it to straighten out. I noticed almost no off-gassing. I’m under 130 pounds but still found this mattress pleasantly comfortable, with a bit of bounce, and the right combination of firmness and cradling. Not too squishy and not too firm. Also like the firm edges so that, when I sit in the bed, I don’t slide off (good feature for short people whose feet may not touch the ground:/). I had priced other natural latex mattresses and found this one reasonable and of very good quality materials.
