Acid-etched film solved pendant light glass problem
I was having trouble finding acid-etched glass to match a couple broken glass rounds from two of my kitchen pendant lights. No local glass companies stocked it and if they were able to order it, quotes were coming back in the hundreds of dollars for 2 8" glass rounds with real acid-etching -- with no guarantee of matching the original etching. When it finally occurred to me to consider using a film on clear glass rounds, I searched the internet, found Decorative Films, and saw that they offered several versions of acid-etched film. I ordered a few free samples (small $5 shipping fee--arrived quickly) and after finding the perfect match, I placed my order. Even though it was only a linear foot, Decorative Films shipped me the film beautifully packaged, complete with a small application kit. I covered my clear glass rounds with the film (easy application) and not only would you never know that the glass wasn't acid-etched, they're a perfect match to the other pendant lights! Including the cost of the glass rounds, the whole thing cost me less than $60. I highly recommend this great company and great product!
