My order was a birthday

My order was a birthday gift sent to someone who returned it to you because windchimes are banned in their community, unbeknownst to me. Btw the order was received many days later than expected.

Love it

Lovely sound and I would give 5 stars except I think the top hanging loop should have a metal ring or something other than just string to hang it by. I can see the string rubbing over time and breaking. I'll be looking for something to attach to it but I shouldn't have to. I have several Woodstock chimes and every one has a metal hook or loop at the top, not this one.

Incomplete

Two problems. 1. I bought large size. It was more like a medium size. 2. On the hanging end, the tassels ends were heated and the ends melted and joined together to form a loop so chimes could be hung. Only two were connected but they were just barely. In fact one loop came apart as I was examining it. I had to remelt all tassels to reform a good connection loop. This proves there is no quality assurance or care for their customers. For the price I paid for two chimes I would expect satisfaction and care, not a rushed job.

Woodstock Chimes ARE The Best Out There....

......that said until I moved south this year I owned a set of Woodstock Westminster Chimes that I had bought about 20 years ago from Ward’s Garden Center in Great Barrington MA. They graced a huge outside tree and were glorious and resonant sound-wise while not being coddled and constantly battling the Northeast elements. Passerbys who heard them said they were akin to a religious choir in their tenor. But they had become so old that when the strings didn’t survive moving I gave them to an artist friend to see if he could resurrect them and enjoy them. I did not know you offer a service to rehabilitate loved chimes :-( In my new home I wanted to replicate those beloved chimes. But while the new ones are lovely the tubing is lighter in weight and the overall resonance instead of being deeply thrilling is tinnier. I realize times have changed and workmanship and materials have evolved to meet new demands but if I knew about your service to restore chimes I would have paid any amount of money to have those ones from the past working again. That all said I AM happy with my new chimes and had I not had such an ingrained comparison this review would never have been warranted for I would have known no difference and I would have been content with the status quo.

This Website is a SCAM! Beware!

This business will send you broken merchandise that is totally unusable. You have to send it back to get a refund. They will offer you a replacement. Refuse it. You have to pay the costs of return shipping. Mean while, they work off of your money till you get your money back. While talking with people at the Post Office, there are lots of people being scammed in the exact same way. BUT AT YOU OWN RISK!
