Why did it takes so long for someone to invent this? It is great! Keeps my sponges nice and clean and fresh. I feel better about washing my dishes and my sponges last longer too.

Ever since seeing a Nova special about the enormous number of microbes in our houses, I have lamented over finding the right solution to the issue of gross kitchen sponges. Boiling sponges is a pain, and you need to do it at least daily to keep microbes at bay. Tossing it in the dishwasher? Forget it - not hot enough to kill everything in the sponge and guess what - now you've spread all those germs to your supposedly clean dishes and cutlery. Toss the sponge in bleach? No way - too toxic! So I am really pleased with the SpongeBath system. It is simply but elegantly designed and hits all the important points perfectly. I am a big fan!
