There are many fake Persil detergents out there especially on Amazon, they don’t compare to the original. Smallflower carries the real deal, it is great. Wish it came in larger size. Will purchase again, thank you!

Two years ago I came into Merz Apothecary with a good friend. We were on a sniffing expedition. Though I've been coming into Merz since I was a kid (wasn't it at a slightly different location back in the 70s?) I hadn't been in for several years and didn't know that Merz had their wonderful new fragrance and toiletries section. My friend and I are super picky about the fragrances we wear. We don't want to smell like anyone else. Department store stuff is out for us. After listening to our preferences, the lady behind the counter started pulling bottles out. These were all niche fragrances, from houses I'd only read about online. It was like Christmas for us! We each bought a few samples to try out. One of mine was L'Artisan Parfumeur Timbuktu - again, a fragrance I'd heard of, read about, but had never had a chance to try on my skin in real life. I loved it - a little exotic, mysterious, radiant and transcendent all at the same time! Finally, I bought a full-size at Merz a few weeks ago. Why, oh why, did I wait so long?! I only wear a few fragrances. Now Timbuktu is one of them. Thank you, Merz Apothecary!
