When I first started looking for more natural alternatives to the traditional brands of pads and tampons, I bought period underwear from a different company in the industry. That company sent a TON of emails that were trying so hard to be trendy that there was always cuss words in their marketing. They claimed they wanted to destigmatize the conversations we have about periods and reproductive health, which is awesome, but the way they went about it was not mature at all. They were almost purposely gross and in-your-face about it. One of the reasons why I love Lola so much is that they don't do any of that! Lola's emails and ads are always open and honest about things while still maintaining professionalism and decorum. The way Lola represents themselves make me think the founders are kind, upstanding people that I wouldn't mind being friends with.
