I am somebody with long term problematic skin since I was a teenager. I have tried everything to make my skin better but all to no avail. It is both sensitive and combination which makes it difficult to find products that work with it and make a true difference. I have noticed a change in my skin since using the clarisonic smart profile. It feels cleaner and brighter. I have been using it for almost a month now and up to a week ago was experiencing cleaner clearer skin. This week I have had a breakout however and my skin doesn't look as good as it had been. I know this is not unusual as some people have reported this after using the clarisonic. I do clean my brush thoroughly after each use and the clarisonic cleanse is the second cleanse so there is very little dirt on the brush by that stage anyway, so neither of these things is the cause of the breakout. It has been a particularly hot summer week and so I have been wearing a mineral spf on my skin under my make up which may account for the change. I will stick with the clarisonic and will continue to use it for at least another 2 months before I can truly judge the effect it has had on my skin. I haven't used all the functions of the machine yet as it has been recommended that I use the lightest setting with sensitive skin in order not to aggrivate my skin.only one facial brush comes with the smart so perhaps in time I will also purchase a sensitive brush. I have used the body brush and take it with me into the shower. I didn't particularly enjoy the experience even though I enjoy body brushing and exfoliating generally so I don't think that I will use the body cleaning function all that often. I didn't particularly like the cleansers and gels that come with the unit , but I was not buying the unit for them as I had read in reviews that most people didn't like them either. In hindsight I perhaps would be just as happy with just a face unit and leave out the body brush and being able to use it in the shower but I am looking forward to purchasing the foundation brush which I believe will be available from August with the smart profile and I have read and seen great things about it from American buyers. All things considered I am happy with my purchase and the service from current body was excellent.
