Good concept but much to improve...
I think FLUUS has such potential. I love the concept that it is a biodegradable product and works to not harm the environment. I liked that it stuck on well and there was relatively good absorbency. HOWEVER, I do not think I will invest in this product (just yet) because:
1, I do not like the ergonomic design- it is too small and feels like a plaster rather than a supportive pas- I don't know if I am expected to wear a thong only with this pad?! but it is too short and narrow. Luckily I was wearing my period pants, so any blood that missed the pad (because of how small it was) was caught by the pants.
2, I absolutely HATE winged pads (with an absolute passion)- hopefully sooner than later, a non-winged pad will be produced (which is of a relatively decent size and not one aimed for size 6 women who weigh 25kg)
3, Even if I was able to use this product with confidence, I know that I will be limited to using it when my flow is not so much that I am worried about leaking after 1-2 hours. I checked the website and did not see an option of light vs heavy flow.
Once these issues are looked into, then I will consider parting with £15 for something I know will only last me for 2 months (as opposed to 6 months supply from other brands). I would love to convert over because the idea of flushing my sanitary pads down the toilet is amazing even if is much more than conventional brands on the shelves, but as of yet, the cons outweigh the pros.
