I have an IUD and so rarely ever get a period (highly recommend Mirena btw) so using a monthly period to ensure I'm not pregnant isn't an option. While getting pregnant on an IUD is very rare, it's not impossible and women often don't realize until much later and it can sometimes lead to unsafe conditions for the woman or the embryo. Taking the first test was a little confusing but the provided instructions are very helpful.
