I have a skin condition that results in dry cracked lips and red, dry, cracked skin around my mouth. This happens with hot/cold weather and other causes. My dermatologist has been unsuccessful in finding an effective treatment to prevent this, when it occurs it is very painful and unsightly. This has been the only lip balm that has effectively hydrated my llips and the surrounding skin area, while creating a sting free skin barrier from the elements. I have tried so many products that don’t last, don’t work, or sting my skin. The only issue I’ve run into is that I when I open a new tube, frequently the seal doesn’t break cleanly and there is a little sharp point sticking up. I’ve poked myself in the lip a few times before I learned to inspect it before use.
