I couldn't wait to try these out although I was intending to wait until I had a haircut (overdue!) in order to see the full potential. I haven't had a hair cut or had it dyed in nearly 6 months yet these straighteners made it look like I'd had it professionally done at a salon. Now I can achieve salon sleekness from the comfort of home. I normally have oily roots, dry split ends and very thick unruly hair. However these straighteners have helped to disguise this, leaving a sleek and flawless finish. They don't pull on the hair at all. When I first sought after some new GHD's I was torn between the Platinum and Gold but I'm so glad I went for the Platinum. The plates are so high-tech and the process is effortless. The technology is mind-blowing and I must say, the little chime as they turn on, warm up and turn off is a very nice touch! I can't wait to use these after my haircut and see the results continue to improve!
